One of the odder things about being an expat is what to do with your cash. What I mean is, or, rather, the question of the moment is, is it better to keep U.S. dollars in a savings account for when I go back to the States? Or is it better to keep all my cash liquid, here in my Japanese accounts?
To that end, I've been doing some research into online banks (as they are much easier to access from overseas) and found several that offer better interest rates than what's available here. The downside being that once the money has been deposited in U.S. dollars, I'll take a serious hit if I have to withdraw it back into Japanese yen.
What to do, what to do.
Anyway. Boring post.
